As part of the School of Geography, Planning & Environmental Management's ongoing commitment to developing and maintaining a high-level research and teaching program, this page provides a means for students to access information on:

  1. The stages you need to progress through to complete your degree (Candidature Milestones)
  2. Expectations of students in terms of coursework
  3. Sources of funding
  4. Resources for preparing your proposal, conducting research, writing your dissertation and presenting work in seminars
  5. University and School resources available to students

This page and its link to the School's Research Higher Degree Handbook will provide a starting point for you to access a variety of information sources and provide you with a mechanism for establishing contact with one of our most important resources - your fellow students. This page is a continually changing resource and we are always open to input and feedback, so please email Dr Patrick Moss at patrick.moss@uq.edu.au.

Patrick is the Postgraduate Coordinator in the School and his role is to ensure that research students have access to adequate resources and that we have sufficient mechanisms in place to keep track of your progress.
