GEMS is involved in a wide variety of leisurely pursuits such as BBQs, Pancake days, trivia nights and various daringly heroic escapades to locations such as Moreton Island, Noosa National Park & Mt Warning. The club also provides academic opportunities such as research seminars, industry nights and chances to interact with postgrads and staff in social settings.
